For over 25 years working with people of all ages and from all walks of life one things is common - where anger comes from. It is rarely inherited from your genes - but can be a learned response from others as you grew up or it can be from childhood issues where you have unfinished business with people or situations from your past whether it be family, friends, bullies or more recent issues at work they all leave scars and feelings locked top inside and you have little control over them.
Anger is not just temper - it is signal that something needs fixing.
You're not a bad person. You're not broken. But the anger is getting louder. And harder to control.
Maybe it's snapping at people you care about over something small. Maybe it's a constant tension in your body - frustration just under the surface that won't go away. Or maybe it's bigger than that. Maybe you've had moments where you felt scared of what might come next.
However it shows up, it leaves a mark. Guilt. Shame. Feeling misunderstood or completely alone with it. You don't want to be like this. But the harder you try to hold it in, the more pressure builds.

Anger is not bad - it is what you do with it that can be bad.
There are many Anger Management Programs in Suffolk - some run by the NHS and others privately. I have spent many years helping people with anger problems - some have been to court for GBH and others have volunteered to see me as they are worried that they might get out of hand and cause their loved ones problems. It is a modern day problem and in most cases I have worked with I find it quite easy to correct and help the person move onto live a more controlled and constructive life. It is wonderful as a therapist/coach to see people turn around quite quickly and the feedback from their loved ones is pretty amazing.
Many of the Anger Management Programs teach people to manage their temper - to control their emotions and react less to situations - my way is different - using my specialist knowledge in this area from 20 plus years of helping people I am able to big deep and remove the anger from within - to find what it is that has taken you out of control - and explore these emotions at a deep level learning from the past and creating no need to get angry in everyday situations in the future.
Anger is everywhere. At Home - domestic anger causes untold misery for all concerned and I have seen young children who suffer domestic anger grow up to be carbon copies of their parents - there is not excuse in the modern world. I was once working with an abuser who said 'it is Okay to hit women I have seen it on TV' - that was his view and within a month of working with him weekly he said that he had been totally wrong and could not believe he had said it - these changes can happen quickly.
Anger at work or in the workplace causes stress, anxiety and panic attacks - I have seen people suffer from having anger problems and also people who have been bullied by others at work. It is a massive problem and once people understand how much it can hurt others and they want help - it is from then pretty straight forward for most people. Many clients I see are sent by solicitors, lawyers, police and social services as well as anxious relations as these clients are heading for trouble as society no longer accept this behaviour.
Anger Removal Therapy
Most of my clients have no knowledge of why they get angry or feel out of control therefore we need to get into the sub-conscious mind to investigate the root cause of the problem. It is a subconscious behavioural issue.
As people grow up things can become unfair – it can be sibling rivalry, problems with a parent, bullies or an employer. In each case they may not be permitted to voice their feelings, opinions thereby feel badly judged or mistreated. In some people this simmers for years causing anger which can erupt uncontrollably.
My work with anger is more finding what the anger is about and dealing with the emotional problem rather than how to manage it. Once the issue has gone we can then work on how to remain controlled in the future.
